THE TALL GREY BUILDING


CRIMINAL LIBRARIES


I passed the tall grey building formed of stone
Its shiny plate glass doors caged with top-
hatted men, where riches are enthroned.

I know the pompous men in dust-grey suits
In it together. The nation’s good.
The suits, they’re in cahoots

with shiny money-making Midas touch
a marvelling mist before us grubby tribes.
Wealth is laundered ...
